EzGet uses the power of MSDE or SQL Server database engine.
EzGet stores your audit information in a SQL Server*, or MSDE** database. This
open design with these flexible products provides multiple benefits:
You can open your databases directly in SQL Server rather than the EzGet
console, providing powerful alternative connectivity, reporting and query
features (the free MSDE product has no user interface)
Connect or export audit data from the EzGet audit database to others of
your own design for information consolidation or data sharing
Databases can be easily shared via the internet/intranet
Allows audit data to be shared with or reported on by users with different
requirements. Each type of user can have different reports tailored to their
needs. Allows audit data to be shared with asset management, help desk and
network management systems or connected to applications such as Crystal Reports.
From anywhere into your network, you can constantly be informed which hardware and software packages
are installed, which of those are currently in use and their performances. This
information is available at any given time and for the whole company.
The
transfer of data generates very little traffic, less than 100 KB per workstation
for a complete hardware and software inventory
